„Hey Blaine, there you are! Where were you today in Mr. Palmer’s acting class?” Blaine had just entered the room, but of course Chad had noticed his absence this morning. “I…” he hesitated for a moment and a grin appeared on his face. He tried to shake it off but failed miserably. “I overslept, didn’t hear my alarm clock.”

Chad didn’t believe a word with that grin on Blains face, but he chose to ignore it. “Either way, you missed something rather spectacular. Mr. Palmer didn’t show up, but this new substitute teacher is a genius. And good looking too, even I have to admit that. You would have loved him.” Even though Chad seemed very enthusiastic, Blaine wasn’t convinced. None of the teachers here seemed to care as much about their students as people, like Mr. Schuster did.

“Oh, and there he is again. Seems to be a virus going around the teachers lounge.” Blaine had been sitting with his back facing the door, so when he turned around he had to look twice to believe what he was seeing. The substitute Chad had pointed out was Cooper Anderson, his brother. They always tried to be close, but they never really got to a ‘hey brother, I moved to New York’ place. They called each other for holidays and birthdays, that was about it. But Blaine had always assumed that everything there is to know about Cooper Anderson was on his twitter, apparently he was wrong.

His brother looked just as surprised as Blaine did. They were staring at each other for a while, when it got awkward and the rest of the class started staring too, Cooper recollected himself. “Well, for everyone who wasn’t here this morning, I’m your new substitute teacher for all things acting, dancing and singing. My name is Maine, James Maine.”

For a moment Blaine doubted himself, he doesn’t see his brother too often, but he was sure that was Cooper. It must be. And the deep meaningful looks he was getting from him made him even more sure that something very wrong was going on here.

Blaine endured his brothers acting lesson, that’s the least you can say. That Chad thought Cooper was a genius was just the Anderson brother’s trait to be able to convince people that complete rubbish was actually brilliant, like the emotion tornado.

“Coffee for lunch?” Chad asked after the class was over. “Nah, I have a question for Mr. Maine, don’t wait up.” Blaine was about to walk up to the front of the class when Chad held him back. “Be careful,” he said, “he was looking at you funny.” Blaine shook his head lightly. “Thanks, I noticed.”

“Mr. Maine” had already packed all of his stuff when Blaine approached him. “I can explain!” he exclaimed before Blaine could say anything. But Blaine didn’t even want to say anything, he just waited. “Can I interest you in a coffee for lunch?” Cooper asked innocently. “Right now I’m more interested in an explanation.” Blaine answered. “I –“ Cooper started, but was interrupted by a man in a suit bursting into the class. “What the heck are you doing here Caffrey?”

“Who is Caffrey?” Blaine asked ultimately confused now. “I guess… “ Cooper sighed “I guess I am. But like I said, I can explain. How about that coffee?”
