Author's Notes: Based on the HIMYM episode "Swarley". I just had to write one when I've matched crazy eyes with Klaine.

They've talked about this already. It was totally okay to see other people. They didn't see the point of setting up a rule in the first place. Blaine's point being it only fair because he saw someone while they were still "together" and Kurt's seeing no obligation since they weren't together anymore. Yes, they were still best friends but they have their own lives too. Kurt even encouraged it when Blaine insisted that he felt like he shouldn't.

"I have Adam. Kurt said. "You should at least try to date someone as well."

"Okay. I'll try." Blaine replied.

Kurt was all for it. So when you ask him why he was hiding behind a bush in front of Blaine's house at eleven in the evening, he can't answer you. He didn't tell Blaine that he was coming home early for Mr. Shue's wedding. He was planning on texting Blaine to ask him if he wants to hang out but Tina mentioned that he has a date tonight. Right after his conversation with her he started walking to Blaine's place. He wasn't actually sure why but his feet just led him there.

"This is ridiculous." Kurt said as he face slapped himself. He was just about to turn around to make his way home but a car showed up just right around the corner. In panic, Kurt ducked behind the bushes in the hopes that no one saw him. So there he was, crouching like an idiot just to hide from his ex-boyfriend.

The car's engine died as the car parked in front of the house. From what Kurt could see through the bushes, the driver went to Blaine's side to open the door for him.

"Hmm. Well, at least he is a gentleman" Kurt thought.

"I had a fun time with you tonight." The other guy said as Blaine and him were walking towards the door. "We should do this again some other time."

"Sure, of course. I had fun too." Blaine said as he scratched his nape. Kurt always found that adorable. That was an indication of shyness on Blaine's part. It was only reserved for him when they were dating. Now it's for another guy.

"No." Kurt thought. "I don't want to open that can of worms just yet."

"Well, you have my number. You can just call me when you're free." Blaine's date said.

"Okay." Blaine replied. "So I guess this is good night?"

Blaine's date smiled and nodded. He was slowly leaning towards Blaine for a good night kiss. Kurt thought that Blaine would decline. To his surprise, he didn't. He just stood there waiting for the kiss. Blaine's and his date's lips were just about an inch apart when Kurt stood up from the bushes.

"NOOOOOOOOOO." Kurt shouted as he pulled Blaine by his shoulders. He was taken by the heat of the moment. It took him a few seconds to realize what he has done.

"Kurt?" Blaine asked. A confused face was plastered on his face. "What are you doing here?"

"Uhm, I . . I got an earlier flight and uhm" Kurt stammered. He turns to Blaine's date and said "Sorry, for ruining your night . . uhm . . I have to go." Next thing he knew, he was making a run for it. The embarrassment was slowly creeping up on him with every step he took. Blaine was calling out his name but he didn't look back.

"Stupid Kurt. Bad Kurt." He kept repeating to himself. He didn't know where he was going. He didn't know where the tears that were falling from his eyes came from either. He just walked and walked on a very cold night. After a few blocks away, a car stopped beside him. The passenger seat window opened and showed a very concerned Blaine behind the wheel.

"Kurt."

"Hi, Blaine. Nice evening isn't it." Kurt forced a smile.

"Yes, it's lovely. But Kurt, can you please get in the car so we could talk?"

"No, don't. I'm very sorry for messing your date up. You and that guy make a lovely couple. You should get back to him and finish your date." He tried to fake another one but a hiccup surfaced from his crying.

"Please get in the car, it's freezing outside." Blaine pleaded. True, his fingers were already freezing. "Come on, those Jimmy Choo's would get frost bite. We don't want that now, do we?"

"Ugh" Kurt thought. Blaine was right. He was lucky he knew fashion as well and played that to his advantage. "Okay."

He gets in the car as he tried to stop the tears.

"I'm sorry for ruining your night." Kurt said through the sniffing.

"No, you didn't ruin it." Blaine gave him a smile. "Why were you hiding in the bushes anyway?"

"I just heard that you were on a date and the next thing I knew I was already in front of your house." Kurt rambled.

Then there was a pause between them. It seemed to drag on for a long time. Kurt wanted to break it but Blaine beat him to it.

"You're crazy, you know that?" Blaine said staring at Kurt's eyes.

"Yeah, I know. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that."

"You're the craziest person I've ever met."

"I know. I know. I am so sorry. It's so hypocritical of me. Especially when I have Adam and all and I mean you two were getting a long, and you were about to get that good n-night k-iss and . ."

"The craziest." Blaine interrupted.

He cupped Kurt's cheek as he leaned in and kissed him. It took a while before Kurt could fully recognize what was happening. When he came to his senses, he responded to the kiss matching the same passion Blaine was giving him.

"Shouldn't you be going back to your date?" Kurt asked when they pulled away.

"There's no other place I'd rather be than here with you."

End Notes: Sorry for the typos and grammar errors if you see them. My usual beta is still asleep on her side of the world haha
