Kurt and Blaine sat hand in hand while they drank their coffee whispering sweet nothings to each other. Brittany stumbled down the stairs in a big t-shirt she waved at the boys but paid them no mind as she got two cups of coffee and returned upstairs. Kurt leaned his head into the crook of Blaine's neck.
“This is so nice,” he said after a moment looking out side watching the sun rise.
“I think we should come here every year. Just the four of us, lose the all the technology, and just get in touch with nature and ourselves,” Kurt said.
“You're such a dork Kurt, I love you”
“I love you too,” he leaned in and placed his lips against Blaine. Brittany and Santana came down the stairs about a hour later. Blaine and Kurt were cuddled on the couch Kurt looking up at Blaine while Blaine absently ran his hand up and down Kurt's back.
“Morning boys,” Santana and Brittany took a seat opposite the boys.
“If I asked how you sleep do you mind lying to me?” Santana said with a sassy tone, knowing full well how their evening ended.
“We didn’t get much sleep but what little we did it was great. And you?” Kurt rolled over to face the girls. He was laying between the sofa chair and Blaine.
“I was passed out but this morning was great,” Brittany said wrapping her arm around Santana, kissing her cheek.
“What is on the agenda for today?” Blaine asked. looking at the clock on the mantle.
“Let’s just hide in our rooms all day long and come out for the stars.” Kurt said looking at Blaine thinking of a morning rendezvous.
“No, we have to go for a hike, and hangout in the river,” Brittany said getting excited like yesterday all over again. “Come on, get ready, one hour.” She clapped her hands, "Chop chop," and dragged Santana off the couch. Kurt was hesitant to leave Blaine's side but they got up and got ready.
Blaine had denim walking shorts and a white linen shirt Kurt bought him. He stood on the porch and stared at the nature. it was just beautiful the way the trees layer over each other, and how the early sun crept over them giving thousands off shades of green. Santana walked down the stairs in a red lace v-neck shirt and sun yellow shorts. She walked into the kitchen and saw Blaine standing out side. She knew she has to apologize to him for the way she acted last night. She slid the door open and stepped onto the porch. She smiled softly at him, he returned the gesture. Blaine wasn’t upset with her anymore. It was their thing, be mad for a hour let it go but bring it up until its been apologized for.
“Blaine, I'm really sorry about yesterday.” She started, her eyes said the rest for her, Blaine pulled her into a hug.
“Its okay Santana,” Brittany came down next and saw the two hugging. She ran and jumped into the group hug, smashing everyone together. Kurt came down and laughed wishing he had his phone to snap a picture. Santana saw him and waved him over. The foursome held to each other and laughed.
“I need to get my camera. It is way to beautiful out here to not take pictures.” Blaine stated breaking up the hug. Santana followed after him.
“I'll get some snacks together for the hike.” Santana said.
Blaine took his camera and snagged an extra pair of batteries. From his bed room window he saw Matt and Jessica talking with Brittany and Kurt and cussed under his breath. He ran downstairs and saw Santana making sandwiches.
“Look outside,” Blaine said harshly. Santana looked at him first startled at his tone, then turned her head.
“It's just going to be a day, Blaine” he said in her mimicking tone.
“I had no idea they would come back. Blaine you have to believe me,” Santana said in a truly pleading voice.
“I just wanted a simple vacation,” he shouts. She slams her hand on the table.
“Do not yell at me Blaine Anderson.” She said twice as loud. That gained the attention of everyone out side.
“Non posso credere che tu sei il sconvolto,” (I cannot believe you’re the one upset) he yelled in Italian.
“Is everything okay in there?” Jessica asked after catching deep accent. Kurt’s eyes got big. Blaine spoke in Italian on two occasion. When he was yelling, very angrily at his father, and occasionally in his drunken moans of ecstasy when he is with Kurt.
“Vete a la mierda Blaine. No todo es culpa mia!” (fuck you Blaine! Not all of it is my fault!) Santana yelled she put the sandwiches in the carrier throwing the dirty knives in the sink making a loud clang. Brittany flinched she hated it when Santana spoke Spanish.
“Something is telling me they are about to break up again,” Brittany frowned. Her shoulders slump over and Kurt put a comforting hand on her.
“Its not like a relationship like that would last much longer anyway,” Matt said as the group flinched when the both of them were yelling.
“What is that suppose to mean?” Kurt said quick to defend his boyfriend and best friend. Ever since Matt showed up he was watching Santana. Kurt noticed, Blaine told him and the both of them were irritated by him.
“They are toxic together, I mean, listen to them,” he ran a hand though his thick brown hair. “They aren’t meant for each other. Two negative people never match.”
Both Kurt and Britt gave Matt a bitch glare.
“I'll have you know, they are fighting about you,” Kurt said in a matter a fact tone.
“How can you tell they are yelling and something is telling me that’s not English.” Jessica said watching Santana through the window, Santana flipped her hair to the side with one hand and yell at Blaine using her other hand.
“Santana speaks Spanish, and Blaine speaks Italian. They don’t need to know what their saying to get their point across,” Kurt said watching Blaine walked towards the door.
“Lei non capisce.” (You don’t understand.) Blaine said over his shoulder while she followed him outside.
“Tu esta hacienda esto en una cuestion de orgullo estupido,” (You are making thing into a stupid pride thing) Santana yelled chasing after him. They stood on the balcony bringing their fight to the audience
“Si, io sono,” (yes I am,) he stopped and turned to face her she nearly ran into him with the sudden stop.
“Just give it arrest Santana, I'm done talking to you,” he said still with a heavy accent. Kurt loved him with that accent and tried so hard to keep himself under control in front of the siblings. She huffed as he walked off into the forest towards the lake. Santana leaned on the porch and put her hands over her face, everyone just stared which pissed Santana off more.
“The show is over! You can all leave now!” She shouts at them making Jessica jump. Kurt looked to Britt.
“We will see you at the lake,” Matt said turning back towards their cabin. Jessica followed him waving at Brittany. Kurt sighed and looked at Brittany.
“I'm going to go talk to him...” he said. Brittany nodded and went to Santana slowly.
“Tana?” She asked softly.
“I really messed up didn't I?” Santana whispered.
“You know Blaine has had a rough life. Having to hide who he was so that he and Kurt would be safe. It was so hard for him to come out to his parents with Kurt. He hates hiding and figured now that we're graduated and moving on he doesn't have to,” Brittany said.
“His dad really is the reason he's so upset with this isn't he? God...I ruined this afternoon...”Santana said running her hands through her hair.
“Let's go find Kurt and Blaine,” Brittany said.
Blaine found a log to sit on by the river and stared out over it. She had some nerve. A pride thing? Yeah maybe it was but only because of how he was treated by his father. He didn't expect to have to hide who he was all over again.
“Hi,” he heard the soft voice utter. He turned to see his Kurt standing by one of the many trees. He felt a small smile creep on his lips and next thing he knew Kurt was beside him.
“I'm sorry you had to see that...” Blaine said.
“Don't be. I love you when you speak in Italian and that accent is such a turn on,” Kurt said seductively. Blaine chuckled and put his head on Kurt's shoulder.
“Still...I'm sorry,” he said.
“It's okay. You're a lot better than most people when it comes to controlling your anger,” Kurt said.
“I just don't like hiding who I am...my father doesn't even acknowledge you still...it's a sore topic. I mean he'd rather tell my grandmother I'm single than tell her I'm gay,” Blaine said.
“You know Santana didn't mean to hurt you...it's Santana,” Kurt said taking Blaine's hand. He kissed Blaine softly and comfortingly.
“I have a guitar and know someone who plays very well...” they heard Brittany say. They turned to see Britt and Santana standing where Kurt had been only a few minutes earlier.
“Let's go for a walk,” Kurt said pulling Blaine up by his hand and smiling. Britt handed him his guitar and she took Santana's hand they started to walk.
