Author's Notes: This is it guys! The final chapter! The first chapter of the sequel will be up hopefully Sunday.
About a week and a half after the confrontation with Annabelle, Blaine found himself at The Lima Bean. Kurt was out with Rachel today for the first time since they made up and he decided to stop and grab a coffee. He heard heels clicking and then stopping behind him. He turned around and saw Annabelle standing behind him.
“Hi...” Blaine said hesitantly.
“Hi. How have you been?” she asked.
“I've been good. Why don't you sit down?” he asked. She sat opposite of him and put her coffee down. Blaine noticed she looked a little unhappy and her eyes were lifeless. He regretted everything he did to hurt her and hoped that one day he could make it up to her.
“How have you been?” he asked finally.
“Okay...I called my cousin this past week. We're meeting up for lunch. I'm going to tell her everything...” she said. Blaine smiled and nodded.
“Good. I'm glad you are. How about your friend from high school?”
“That relationship is too far gone to repair. We'd never be able to make it work again,” she replied simply.
“Just tell her how you felt and say that if she wants to talk more you're here to talk and you're sorry,” Blaine said.
“I don't know. I'm afraid I guess. It's been a few years and she's probably moved on by now...” she said. Blaine took a sip of his coffee and looked down at the table.
“Aren't we all?” he said. She nodded slowly and looked out the window of the cafe.
“How's Kurt?” she asked still not looking at him.
“He's...down. He's not really himself because of what happened but I'm trying to get him to stop it and move on for now. We're taking a trip in the summer to New York to look for a place to get married. I'm hoping that the trip and planning will get his mind off of everything,” Blaine said.
“You're getting married? When?” she asked. She looked at him shocked.
“Next summer. I think it's about time. We've been together seven years and engaged for two. I think it's time we married.”
“Well...congrats. I hope everything goes well,” she said.
“You know...you will get an invitation. I don't know what's going to happen between you two or you and me even but, I'd like to keep in touch. Kurt won't talk to you first. He'll give you your space and let you come around on your own. I hope you do call him though. He misses you and you two are more alike than you think,” Blaine said smiling at her.
“I know...and thanks. It's a little hard with you because of what our whole story was for the past few months but I think we can work things out. I know we won't ever be like that again...there really wasn't anything in the first place but I still think you're amazing,” she said. Blaine laughed at her and then looked at her.
“There wasn't anything...true. I still liked you though and I still do,” he replied. A hand came down on his shoulder and he jumped a little bit and turned back to see Kurt behind him. He sighed and smiled up at him and Kurt leaned down to kiss him.
“Hi Anna,” Kurt said. She smiled at him and waved. She got up and hugged him tightly. Blaine was surprised as was Kurt and laughed up at them.
“What do you say brother? Ready to start over?” she asked.
“I'd love to,” Kurt said smiling. Blaine looked up at Kurt happily. He felt...proud. Proud that Kurt and her would finally get what they never had.
