Author's Notes: I know you're so sick of waiting. But here it finally is! I'm really sorry it's taken so long. I hope you enjoy!

Blaine ran his hand up Kurt’s thigh, earning a moan from Kurt’s already swollen lips. Kurt was straddling Blaine, hands tangled in his curly hair, planting kisses all down his neck. Kurt quickly learned that there was one spot that made Blaine shiver, made him fight back a moan and he practically attacked. He licked and sucked that one spot until Blaine grabbed his face and kissed him deeply.

At every touch of their lips they were both drawn deeper into this heated battle of lust with so many layers preventing real contact. Blaine fumbled down the buttons of Kurt’s shirt, tie long gone. As soon as Kurt’s shirt was on the floor Blaine kissed his collar bone, mesmerized by everything Kurt was. He ran his hands gently up his sides, making Kurt shiver.

“You are so beautiful…”Blaine whispered in his ear. Kurt let out a small whimper.

“You’re wonderful, Blaine. Absolutely wonderful.” Kurt murmured, kissing his temple. Blaine gently laid him down on the bed, hovering over him, slowly kissing down the newly exposed skin of his chest. Kurt shivered and ran his hand through Blaine’s hair again, gripping slightly. Blaine unbuttoned Kurt’s jeans, slowly pulling them down to his ankles. Kurt whined slightly in anticipation and-

Kurt had to blink several times until his eyes were fully adjusted to the light. It took him another minute to realize that he was in his apartment. Then he noticed Rachel Berry fast asleep in his bed. Waking up with Rachel Berry in his bed was one thing, but waking up with Rachel Berry in his bed and a raging boner were too very different things.

He quickly stumbled to his bathroom and stripped off his clothes, climbing into the shower and turning it on as cold as it would go. It only took a few minutes before he was calm enough do his normal shower routine. Lather, rinse, repeat, ten minute condition. He had to keep his hair perfect somehow.

When he got out of the shower he was quite pleased to smell coffee all the way from his bedroom. Rachel had must have made a pot while he was showering and he couldn’t remember a time where he appreciated her more. Especially since Kurt Hummel without coffee in the morning is a zombie.

“Hi there, sleepy head.” Rachel chirped when she spotted Kurt coming out of his room.

“Morning.” He grumbled, taking a cup down from the cabinet and pouring his coffee before taking a seat at the table. Rachel knew well enough to keep quiet until Kurt made the first attempt at a conversation so she flipped through the most recent edition of Glamour magazine. It was almost silent until Kurt had finished his first cup and gotten about half way through his second, then he finally spoke.

“Sleep well?” He asked, looking across the table at her.

“Mhm. You’re the best sleeping buddy.” She replied with a far too sincere smile. Something about it made Kurt blush bright red. Did she know? About the dream and the hard on that accompanied it? “You keep the bed warm.” She continued, furrowing her brow slightly. “Why are you blushing?”

“Oh uh…just…slightly feverish.” He said. She rolled her eyes.

“Sure Kurt. Sure.”

“Hey, you said I kept the bed warm.” Rachel couldn’t help her giggle.

“Okay, fine.” She said, picking at an apple. They were both quiet for another minute. “Hey, so you said you had something you wanted to talk about but we both fell asleep before we got to it.” She said. It was true. Last night Kurt had been so nervous to mention anything about Blaine that he had let her go on endlessly. Which, of course, was all fine and dandy for Rachel, who had the world to share in stories.

“Eh. It’s no big deal.” Kurt said.

“Oh come on. I’m ready to listen. Spill it.” Rachel pushed, scooting her chair in closer.

Kurt sighed, taking a minute to collect his thoughts. “Okay. So…I might have…met someone.” He said slowly. He was expecting a typical dramatic response, but he didn’t get it. Instead, she looked at him expectantly, obviously holding back several possible noises.

“His name is…” Kurt hesitated. He thought the grin was only in his head but the tightness in the muscles on his face proved that it was all too real. “B-Blaine.” He choked out, finally noticing that Rachel was still staring at him expectantly. After getting a “please continue” nod from Rachel, he did exactly that. “I met him-“ he paused for a second, debating his words. “Online. And we talked quite a bit and then…he needed a ride. So I went and picked him up and we went drinking and he took me home so I passed out on him and I woke up in the same bed as him and them we planned a date but I made it seem so mysterious and now I have to live up to whatever his expectations are. Please help me.” Once he had started talking, he couldn’t stop. He sped up until he was speaking so quickly that even he couldn’t understand himself. But apparently Rachel could.

She was quietly nodding for a minute, which made Kurt bite his lip in anticipation. A quiet Rachel Berry could never be a good thing.

“Okay, obviously you really like this Blaine guy.” Rachel said, waiting for a confirmation. Kurt nodded once. “And you’ve set yourself up for the date of a lifetime and you have no idea what the date is supposed to be?” Kurt nodded again and Rachel ran a hand through her hair. “Alright. This is a predicament.” She stood up, pacing back and forth in front of the table.

Kurt watched her, feeling his anxiety raised just watching her. Just as he was going to say something about how nervous she was making him, she spun to face him.

“I’ve got it. Take him to the Central Park Zoo.” Kurt just started at her like she was insane. She rolled her eyes. “Blindfold him. Take him to the zoo. Lead him around to all the animals, feed him the zoo food and end in the garden.” The skeptic look must still have been on his face because she sighed softly. “It could be so romantic.” She said dreamily, letting out a small sigh, then added, “And playful.”

“Rachel, that sounds ridiculous.” Kurt said, running a hand through his still damp hair.

“Oh come on. I know you have that membership. The one you have to pay for every year. And you go there like…twice a month.” She leaned against the table, looking down at him in the chair. She was right. As much as Kurt wanted to hate the zoo for caging animals, he loved it there. Ever since his dad and Carole took him there shortly after he made the big move…it reminded him of his mother. He didn’t remember it well, but his dad told him how every year on his birthday they would take a special trip and drive the two hours to the Columbus zoo in Ohio. He hadn’t been there since, but it would always be special to him.

It was at the zoo that Kurt found he felt a little closer to the woman he missed so badly sometimes. He’d go on bad days, days where he felt no hope. He’d sit in the garden and just think, or write. He’d even found himself talking to his mother once or twice. He didn’t even care about the stares he got. The crazy guy just talking to himself. That zoo held a special place in his heart. That was half of the reason he wasn’t sure he wanted to bring Blaine there. He’d always gone alone. That was how he always planned it.

“Maybe.” He responded, getting up and taking care of his coffee cup. Rachel made a few more suggestions, but nothing really screamed date night to him. He’d figure it out. He still had a few more days to decide after all. It didn’t take him long to decide exactly what he wanted to do until just hours before their set date time.

He had to call Blaine as soon as he decided exactly what he wanted to do and see if they could change to an all day event. It was an easy fix, but Blaine tried to get as many hints as possible. Kurt wasn’t giving any though. This was going to be a surprise for Blaine. He was determined. He wanted their first date to be special. Part of him thought that maybe, if it were special enough, Blaine would stick around. Even if it were for just a little while longer.

While Kurt took his time getting ready early that morning, his mind wandered. First, he found himself thinking about that all too hot-and-heavy dream he’d had. He was actually terrified that one look at Blaine and he’d automatically see him without a shirt on. He knew that wouldn’t be a good thing because he’d seen Blaine shirtless. He’d seen Blaine completely vulnerable and yet he’d never thought about that while he was actually with Blaine. It was like…webcam-Blaine and real-life-Blaine were two completely different people. Kurt decided he’d like to keep it that way.

His mind also wandered to the inevitable. What if Blaine wasn’t even into him? What if this whole date was just Kurt making a fool of himself? He looked himself over in the mirror, forcing himself to take a breath and just relax. Even if this date went horribly wrong, what was he losing? He could easily make himself believe that Blaine was just some money hungry porn star. But the thought made him feel guilty and a little sick to his stomach so he pushed it away quickly.

It was almost easy to lose himself in the bustle of the city as he boarded the subway on the way to Blaine’s apartment. He almost convinced himself he was just going for coffee, especially since it was the same route he often took to one of his favorite coffee shops. But walking up the steps to buzzer at the door, Kurt could hardly contain his nerves. He was so tempted to just turn and leave, but his legs wouldn’t halt in their journey.

He looked down at his wrist watch and almost cursed at the time. He was almost fifteen minutes early. Two thoughts crossed his mind. What if Blaine wasn’t ready? And what if Blaine’s biggest pet peeve was people being earlier than they said? Of course, it was only a few seconds until he realized that he was definitely over-thinking the situation. Early was better than late, after all.

He rang the buzzer, twice just to be sure it worked. The silence rang clear, though. He almost debated pressing it again. Or just making a run for it while he could. Blaine’s voice made him jump almost ten feet in the air.

“Hey, who is it?” Blaine’s voice cracked through the speaker. It was clear that something was in his mouth.

“Uh…It’s Kurt.” He mumbled, pulling on the hem of his shirt.

“Oh perfect. Come on up.”Blaine pressed the button that unlocked the door and Kurt made a nervous bee-line for the door. He had sprinted up the stairs, so once he was at the top, he paused before knocking. He caught his breath and decided on exactly what he was going to say as soon as the door opened. He knocked twice, hard enough to be heard and the door was pulled open almost out from under his fist.

“Hey, come on in!” Blaine breathed cheerfully. It must have been a tooth brush in his mouth a second ago because his breath was minty fresh. Kurt was struck quiet for a minute. Once Blaine’s face had fallen in to confusion, Kurt realized that he hadn’t spoken or moved.

“Oh shit, sorry. Hey.” Kurt smiled slightly and stepped inside. Well, there goes that well rehearsed speech. He leaned against the wall slightly, eyes practically glued to Blaine. He was just so distracted. He hadn’t expected Blaine to actually dress up for their date. Part of him wanted to just let him keep the suit on, but that would be cruel in this heat.

Blaine looked him over, trying to read his expression. “This is too much, isn’t it? Shit, awkward. Way to overdress, Anderson.” Kurt didn’t miss the nervous chuckle.

“No, that’s not it at all. I should have warned you. We’re going to be walking, and outside. Think comfortable.” Kurt said, offering an understanding smile.

Blaine blushed and Kurt almost let out a whimper. “Just let me go change quickly.” Blaine was already walking back toward his bedroom as he spoke. It would be a lie to say that Kurt wasn’t staring at Blaine’s ass as he walked away.

Kurt was surprised that Blaine seemed just as lost as he did. Awkward first date syndrome seemed to affect the both of them. As much as Kurt wanted to say that they already knew each other well enough, he hardly knew a thing about Blaine. He sighed slightly as he realized that this is kind of what dating is all about. Getting to know each other, and if there was one person he really wanted to get to know, it was easily Blaine Anderson.

Blaine cleared his throat and Kurt’s head snapped up to look him over. He must have been smiling because Blaine walked to grab his wallet and shove it in his pocket. “Good, I was hoping this would work better.” Blaine hummed softly.

“Oh, I think it’s perfect.” Kurt responded, nodding quickly, swallowing back the lump in his throat. The polo Blaine chose fit him perfectly, and he left the few buttons undone, which to Kurt was incredibly sexy. But that wasn’t the best part. Kurt could see Blaine’s ankles. His ankles for god’s sake. He didn’t know why that seemed so overwhelming but they were just perfect ankles. Kurt didn’t realize that he could love someone’s ankles this much, but he definitely loved Blaine’s.

“Awesome. Should I bring anything with?” Blaine said, standing directly in front of Kurt.

“Oh. No. I’ve got everything covered. You have nothing to worry about.” Kurt said.

“Shall we?” Blaine opened the door for him and Kurt stepped out.

“Absolutely.” He led the way out and hailed a cab. Blaine was rocking on his heels slightly in those boat shoes of his.

“So, any hints?” Blaine asked.

“Absolutely not.” Kurt said with a grin, opening the cab door for him. Blaine slid in and Kurt followed, handing a small slip of paper to the driver. Blaine groaned.

“Hummel, you’re killing me.” He whined. Blaine’s whine sent a shiver through Kurt but he laughed.

“I’m sorry. Just relax. You’ll find out soon enough, Blaine.” Kurt chuckled, crossing one leg over the other.

The drive was filled with Blaine trying to wiggle a hint out of Kurt and Kurt was not budging. As soon as they pulled into the parking lot, Blaine’s face light up. It was a relief because Kurt was so terrified that Blaine would think his whole idea was stupid. Kurt thought he was going to chew a hole right through his lip in anticipation.

Blaine’s warm hand gently lifted Kurt’s hand into his own and up to his lips, kissing the soft skin gently. “This is wonderful, Kurt.” Kurt didn’t even bother trying to hide his blush. “I wasn’t expecting this but….the zoo is the perfect place our date.” Kurt’s smile was almost as wide as his face. He couldn’t remember feeling this confident before, but he wasn’t about to let the feeling go un-used. Even though taking Rachel’s advice was such a crazy idea, he had hoped for this one. And apparently he’d done something well this time. He paid the cab driver and pulled Blaine out, not losing his grip on Blaine’s hand, and led the way inside.

“You even have a membership, Hummel?” Blaine said, clearly amused. “There’s so much to learn about you.” Kurt sent a smile his way. “I can’t wait.” Blaine winked at him. He was excited to get to know him. Blaine wanted to know all about Kurt and Kurt couldn’t hold back his tiny noise of excitement.

“We’d better get going then, Anderson.” Kurt said playfully, starting to lead him to his favorite places in the park. “You’ve got a lot to learn.”
