He hummed loudly in approval as he grabbed the coffee cup and nursed it eagerly between his palms, taking in the scent. “You are my life saver, thank you.” He greedily took a drink, ignoring the burn on his already sensitive throat and simply enjoying the taste and the warmth it brought not noticing that he was cold in the first place. Placing the cup on the bedside table, Kurt sat back against the pillows which were propped against the headboard and smiled warmly, patting the bed. “You can sit, you know. I mean I’d offer the coach, but that got removed when my room mate got drunk and set it on fire - long story - so really there’s my bed, his pit of a bed or the floor.” The actor shrugged with amusement. “I can’t guarantee you won’t pick up some terrible diseases from the floor since they probably seep over from the deathly side of the room, so this,” he gestured to his bed, “is the saver option.” Kurt took another drink to coat his throat, humming gratefully at the effects of the coffee. “That, and I never actually received a desk chair with my desk.”
After managing to get through half the coffee in some record number of large gulps, Kurt pushed himself up from the bed, slightly self conscious of the fact he was wearing dark navy plaided pyjama bottoms and an old black t-shirt instead of actual clothes, but his excuse was that he was sick. He hadn’t even done much to his hair other that push it back on occasion and add the smallest hint of hairspray when it started to annoy him. He ruffled through his desk drawer to search for the mysteriously disappearing remote for the tv, which was very rarely used since Kurt usually opted to use his laptop. However, obviously using a laptop for two people to watch a movie was going to be a little bit awkward, so he’d tilted the tv in the direction of his side of the room - it just so happened to be in the perfect position now. Finally finding the remote to turn it on, Kurt turned back to Blaine with his eyebrow raised slightly. “So, what’ll it be?” He fiddled with the channelling to get it set up for the DVD player, giving a quiet cheer once he finally got it to work. “Musical or action? Your pick first.”
Blaine took in Kurt’s appearance with a light gaze, he seemed a little more disheveled then his usual perfectly well-groomed and clothed self…but something about it, as well as his messy hair, made him smile at this particular view of the actor. He knew his friend was sick, and clearly it was pretty bad if he couldn’t even really leave his room to do much, but he still enjoyed the sight of his friend after not seeing him for a couple days since their first coffee meeting. Blaine snapped out of his thoughts when he heard Kurt mention something about being a typical college student, “Yeah, kind of. At least my closet and keyboard is organized, everything else is a hot mess,” he replied. “Hmm? Oh, yes, Ralph Lauren,” Blaine raised an eyebrow slightly, he should’ve guessed that the man would be able to tell any designer with such ease. “I literally have a couple dozen pairs of these,” he added with a light laugh before drinking some more of his coffee down to calm his nerves. When he lowered his cup again he nodded his head politely, “Well I don’t know about ‘life saver’, but I did tell you I’d make sure you always had coffee,” he smiled brightly as he shifted his weight from one foot to the other.
Laughing at Kurt’s stream of comments on his roommate’s side of the dorm he placed his coffee cup beside the other, “I think I’ll just stick to your bed then”. Blaine slipped his hand into the back pocket of his jeans and pulled out a couple thin fabric-based coverings of his all-time favorite action movies, which he hoped would change Kurt’s mindset about the genre in general. He placed them on the bedside table next to what he assumed was the actor’s pills for his sickness, making a slight face before he leaned over to take his shoes off, scooting them next to the nightstand. He moved onto the bed and settled himself in next to his friend as he glanced over at him, shrugging his shoulders nonchalantly, “I don’t know, I’m good with either.” Tugging on the zipper of his striped hoody he pulled it down a little in order to revive himself of the heat that seemed to be surrounding him all of a sudden. Blaine cleared his throat and turned back to Kurt, “Um, how about we watch a musical first? That way I feel like you’ll be a little more patient with one of my action movies,” he said, a teasing smile appearing on his lips as he moved his attention towards the television set.
